KIM BURKE

Kim joined Walking Mountains as the Director of Climate Strategy in September 2025. Formerly, Kim was at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), where she provided strategy and direction to states as they designed and launched their Home Energy Rebates programs. Prior to joining the DOE, Kim was the Director of Energy & Sustainability Programs for Touchstone IQ, a consulting firm providing benchmarking and building performance standards (BPS) compliance software and services to state and local governments. Previously, Kim oversaw policy development and program implementation at the Colorado Energy Office for building energy codes, benchmarking, BPS, clean energy workforce development, and beneficial electrification. She has an MPA with a concentration in Environmental Policy, Management and Law from the University of Colorado at Denver and a BA in International Relations from Tufts University. She enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and traveling and lives in Edwards with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
