Mat serves as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Accounts at Pivot Energy and manages innovative off-site solar customer solutions. For over 12 years, Mat Elmore has partnered with some of the most innovative companies in the United States to develop and build more than 250 on-site solar energy projects in more than 20 states. He is proud to be one of the most experienced business development professionals in the C&I solar industry. Previously, Mat was the Senior Solar Project Lead at Elevate Energy in Chicago. He has enjoyed riding the solarcoaster for more than a decade and looks forward to what the next 10 years will bring. He lives in Denver with his wife Nicki, daughter Theo and son Reese, and dog Rigby.

Jenna Weatherred has served as the VP, Member & Community Relations at Holy Cross Energy (HCE) since 2018. While at HCE, she has focused on increasing member engagement, creating and strengthening community partnerships, and raising HCE’s visibility nationwide. Jenna leads the community relations department and the member services call center. Through her work with these two teams, she has helped HCE reach an American Customer Satisfaction Index of 89 and renewed HCE’s proud tradition of quality service and member focus by providing safe, reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy and services that improve the quality of life for its members and their communities. Earlier in her career, Jenna worked for Colorado Mountain News Media for fourteen years as the publisher of both The Aspen Times and the Glenwood Springs Post Independent. Jenna attended the University of Texas at Austin and received a BS in Communications.

Kevin is Managing Director of Imperial Ridge Real Estate Capital, a leading national C-PACE capital provider with a mission to help real estate owners optimize their assets and provide a positive impact on profit, people, and the planet. With over a decade of experience in renewable energy, Kevin has helped grow innovative companies in the solar and biomass fields. Formerly serving as Vice President of Sales at Clean Energy Collective, Kevin launched his cleantech career by leveraging the skills and experience gained from his 21-year career as an executive in the capital markets and banking industry. Kevin earned his B.A. in Economics from DePauw University and his MBA from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management. A resident of Colorado for over 20 years, Kevin loves skiing, hiking, and biking in the mountains with his family. Kevin also serves as Chapter Director of E2, Environmental Entrepreneurs, Chair of Jefferson County’s Sustainability Commission, and has served as a Chair of the Cleantech Open.

As an Advisor and Strategist at the Colorado Energy Office (CEO), Jon is responsible for analyzing the effects of potential statewide policies, running energy and climate related studies that answer strategic questions, and facilitating effective program design. Prior to joining CEO, Jon was a Partner and cofounder at Fluxus Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm that invested in companies innovating in the buildings industry. Jon grew up in Illinois and received a BS degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He then moved to California where he earned MS and PhD degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University. Since 2021, Jon has enjoyed living in Denver with his wife and two children.

Kim joined Walking Mountains as the Director of Climate Strategy in September 2025. Formerly, Kim was at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), where she provided strategy and direction to states as they designed and launched their Home Energy Rebates programs. Prior to joining the DOE, Kim was the Director of Energy & Sustainability Programs for Touchstone IQ, a consulting firm providing benchmarking and building performance standards (BPS) compliance software and services to state and local governments. Previously, Kim oversaw policy development and program implementation at the Colorado Energy Office for building energy codes, benchmarking, BPS, clean energy workforce development, and beneficial electrification. She has an MPA with a concentration in Environmental Policy, Management and Law from the University of Colorado at Denver and a BA in International Relations from Tufts University. She enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and traveling and lives in Edwards with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.

As the President of Walking Mountains, Markian is responsible for the overall operations of the school. Markian joined Walking Mountains after 15 years with Outward Bound West where he served as a field instructor, course director and Colorado program director. Throughout his career in outdoor education, Markian has focused on leadership development, effective team building, staff training, and risk management. He received his B.A. in English from the University of Colorado and resides in Eagle with his wife and two daughters.

As the Climate Action Manager for Eagle County Government, John is implementing the county’s environmental policy and climate action plan within county operations and in the community. In this role, John collaborates with partner counties, municipalities, businesses, non-profit organizations, and utilities toward Eagle County’s common goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 80 percent by 2050. Prior to joining Eagle County Government in 2010, John worked for several ski areas and as an environmental consultant to western slope municipalities, resorts, and community businesses. A native of Colorado, John earned his undergraduate degree at Colorado State University and MBA at University of Denver.

Taylor is a Project Manager at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (formerly the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL)), where she leads and supports federal workforce development and technical assistance programs that advance energy efficiency and renewable energy. She has managed the U.S. Department of Energy’s BuildingsNEXT (formerly Solar Decathlon) collegiate competition, equipping students with career-ready skills in high-performance building design, and has coordinated technical assistance with communities and Tribes to support local energy solutions. Prior to joining NREL, Taylor worked in the solar industry at Tesla and Namaste Solar. She has an MS in Applied Business & Data Analytics from Boston University and a BS in Community, Environment and Development from Penn State.

Jen is the Executive Director of High Country Conservation Center in Summit County, Colorado. Prior to entering the nonprofit sector, Jen worked at Copper Mountain Resort for almost 15 years, gaining experience as an environmental manager and in marketing. She believes that community-scale action has a huge impact on protecting our environment. Jen is passionate about local climate action, energy reduction and zero waste initiatives. Jen graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Biology and earned a M.A.S. in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver. In her free time, she loves mountain biking, telemark skiing and spending time with her family.
